Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma Community Preview Screening Set

Searching for Sequoyah will premiere at its first Cherokee community screening as part of the Cherokee Nation's 69th Cherokee National Holiday over this coming Labor Day weekend. This year's celebration focuses on Cherokee language & the bicentennial of Sequoyah's syllabary, completed in 1821. The timing could not be more appropriate. The theme of the event is "Cultivating Our Culture: Language. Literacy. Lifeways." 46th Annual American Indian Film Festival Screening

The 46th Annual American Indian Film Festival runs No v. 5-13 and is entirely virtual again this year. "Searching for Sequoyah"  will be available starting at 4PM PDT on Nov 5. After you register, you'll have 24 hours to start watching. Once you begin, you'll have 24 hours to finish watching. You can pre-order your virtual ticket here.
